[WP] Having completed the hero's journey and lost everyone, the author attempts to make amends to the main character. The narrator, unable to sympathize with the main character for the choices made along the way, despises him. Or vice versa.

[WP] Your daughter and niece used to always pretend to host their own news show and you were always impressed with what they came up with, but then your niece suddenly passes away... To make her feel better, you pretend with her; when you open yours eyes you actually see a camera.
