[WP] You live on a planet that revolves around two stars in a figure 8 orbit. During the time of year that the planet is between both suns, the surface becomes so hot it's unlivable without protective suits, so yearly the entirety of society goes underground, emerging once the planet cools again.

[WP] You live on a planet used by space-faring civilizations as a material waste dump, the entire landscape akin to a junkyard. Once in a while something important ends up there by accident, and that usually means a big pay day for you, if you can survive getting it and finding a place to sell it.

[WP] Your go-to karaoke bar closes down, and you scour the town for a new one. You find a tiny hole in the wall bar that features a surprisingly good karaoke set up. You take the mic for the first time and look out over the small crowd that forms, and immediately realize you should NOT be here.

[WP] It's a matter of perspective: looking at it one way, it's a tree, or a rock, a person. Or it's a line of code; that's just how the world is, right? Eventually you realize that nobody else can see the code. You're the only one who can change things, the only one who can fight back. You're a Bug.

[WP] “What are those?” you ask, as over the horizon, tall spires of metal rise out of the ocean. “The Pillars of the Gods, remains from the world before the Great Flood, filled with ancient treasures. Get your diving gear ready.”

[WP] You're typing in your web diary during studyhall, and you notice some of the class starts glancing back at you. You ignore it, and type in capslock to write about something you're mad about. Finally the teacher tells you to stop yelling, and you realize they can hear what you're typing out loud

[WP] You’ve always had a debilitating phobia of walruses. Luckily, it doesn’t affect you much since walruses aren’t around where you live. Then one day aliens arrive to Earth in peace, and integrate into society. They look like bipedal walrus people.

[WP] You've pulled the magic sword from the stone, marking yourself as a king-candidate. But you're not the only candidate. There are others who pulled an axe from a stone, a spear from a stone, and even an arrow, and the list goes on. Now you must fight for a seat on the throne.

[WP] You have the news on while you work in your office. A short segment comes on where a friendly looking fellow spends a minutes sharing a lunch or dinner recipe. Today however, the segment actually catches your ear. The ingredients he's saying sound strange... and he's definitely not making food.

[WP] “She’s not the strongest, or most skilled. She’s not the ‘chosen one’ or the daughter of a king or the spawn of a god. She’s not the blinding ray of hope that we sought, but she’s brave; willing to fight. Alone in the darkest of nights, even a faint light will shine like a beacon. We need her.”
