Used my NEXUS for the first time at YVR after approval 2 days ago. Airport entrance to the lounge in less than 2 minutes! Totally worth it!

I’m arriving into YVR from the US at 2pm. My family is arriving from Europe at 4.30pm (delayed). Can I wait a couple hours for them and go through immigration control together? I don’t have any checked bags.

Nexus approved. Do I have to wait until I receive the physical card and activate it before using it at an airport ? Flying tomorrow.
