Suppose I eat a 1oz cracker that has 3,500 Calories. I couldn't have gained more than 1oz of mass but I've eaten the caloric equivalent to 1lb human fat. What happens to the extra calories I ate if they aren't turned into fat? Do I need to burn all 3,500 of them before I start burning fat again?
