Whales seem slow and without much in the way of defense. Considering that they share the oceans with swimming mouths in the form of sharks, how has that evolution played out? In other words, how the hell have Whales survived and why haven't sharks totally taken over the oceans?

how do marine predators deal with fish bones? i.e. how does their digestive system deal with them when humans are so susceptible?
