the last four months of the year all have incorrect numerical prefixes. SEPTember OCTober NOVember DECember, but they are not the 7th,8th,9th,or 10th month. is there a historical reason for this?

After I pull all-nighters, my eyes seem to force REM to happen when I close them for sleep, to the point that I have to re-open them to still the dizziness caused by the darkness spinning. This happens frequently over the course of a semester. Is this actually REM? Or something else?
