Looking for a recommendation for a friend during a hospital stay. Former fan of Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles but likes fantasy & sci-fi. Can I get something fun and magical without a huge focus on straight action? Cool magic systems are fine but battle shounen-type stories aren't. Non existential
