If the simulation hypothesis is true, then nothing ultimately is real, correct? If nothing is ultimately real what then is the point of being alive? Just curious

I'm a chem major. I've become interested in Astro chemistry/ astro biochem. I'm going to be a teacher, so bachelors and masters are my degree limit-phd is out of the question.I realize these are advanced fields, is there any recommendation for how I should go about learning about these disciplines?
