What would the British Navy do with German Navy POWs once they had picked them up out of the water? We're there "prison cells" in the bottom of the ship? Or did they basically roam around the ship? Did the British take them straight back to port or finish their mission?

I've been listening to the "Revolutions" podcast and they have been talking about sugar production in Hati. From the sounds of it, sugar production was dangerous work. Does anybody know exactly how the sugar was produced and why it was so dangerous?

Why didn't the French extended the maginot line along the Belgium border? Why didn't they anticipate the German invasion through Belgium in WW2? Especially since Germany did it in WW1 with great effect.

When historians refer to the "red scare" in American in the early 20th century, Are they referring to Communism or Anarchism? Were these two ideas interchangeable at the time, or are these just two leftest subversive movements which are sometimes lumped together ?
