Why can't I list every book I know, but I can tell you if I own it?

Crocodile bite strength is far higher than any other animal, over 5,000lb of bite force compared to 800lb bite force from a Great White. Yet you never see a crocodile outright bite something in half or at least fatally crush it. Why is that?
