If I observe a comet, or a Matthew McConaughey enter a blackhole, it just gets stopped at the event horizon and freezes there. Doesn't this mean that if I came upon a blackhole I wouldn't see a big dark hole, but rather a big spherical cluster of space junk and McConaughey corpses?
