Say I’m a Roman Legionary fighting the Germanic tribes in the early years of the empire and I’ve been seriously wounded. What would happen from there? Would I be forced to keep fighting or brought back to a camp? Was I treated as a brave hero, or shamed for allowing myself to be injured?

It seems like combat training for European nobles included dancing. Do we know what this would consist of? Was it literally dancing or was it more of a workout similar to an agility drill or plyometrics?

To what extent did locals in the Seleucid empire adopt Greek culture and tradition? Was the empires ruling class composed of locals or Macedonians/Greeks? Did a significant number of Greeks live in the empire?

In documentaries about the World Wars, they often show progress in the war with a line that moves towards the side losing territory. How well does this actually represent these wars? Were there soldiers all along that line on both sides fighting eachother?
