I'm lesbian but started going back to church recently. I feel that church is no place for me and they're already preaching about homosexuality. I may have made a mistake. Should I leave the church for good?

I'm alone and isolated with just my dog. Life is scary. No one knows I exist in person. I have used joining church as a way to have people look out for me but I need more. How do I get people in my life?
