Connie and Pearl have one of my favorite bonds in the show. Much like Steven is a Lot like what Rose would have been If she got to be a kid, Connie is a Lot like what Pearl would have been If she'd gotten to be a kid with normal parents.

Why do you think the Gems chose Beach City to make the temple and their home at? My Headcanon is that Rose loves the ocean, and Pearl obviously had a connection to Sea Water too. So they decided to live near It
