Why is it that metallic objects like spoons and pop tart wrappers go haywire in the microwave, yet my current microwave has a metal rack above the turn table that doesn't impede the microwave from doings it's thing?

Today at work, while wearing green nitrile gloves, my hands started sweating and holes / thin spots began to dissolve open in the nitrile material. No one else I work with has this happen. What exactly is happening?

How does a tire gauge accurately read pressure? Wouldn't Bernoulli's principle cause the escaping air to have a greater pressure than the internal tire?
