[Glycerine laxative] A quick google states this works by attracting water to the intestines in order to cause a bowel movement; within 3 min after giving my 3yo a dose of pedi-lax, he passed a stool. How does it work so fast and what’s the actual chemical mechanism that causes the bowel movement?
