During WWI, would the average citizen know that his/her monarch was a blood relative of the enemy? Did this affect many people's opinion on waging a war which was essentially a blood feud?

In histories of Stalin's life, there are regular references to his early revolutionary career, where he would rob banks. What were these banks like? Are they like our modern perception where customers deposit money for safekeeping? Who had access to them? Everyone or just the wealthy?

Belgium and Switzerland were both surrounded by Great Powers and both were neutral. During both world wars, why were the Belgians so easily overrun while it seemed to be the policy of the Great Powers to never try to break Switzerland's neutrality?

When reading about Stalins early revolutionary career, it is always brought up that to fundraise, he and his group would rob banks. What was the state of finance in the Russian empire during this time? Were these banks used by peasants, or could only the nobility afford their services?
