After the Tang Dynasty ended, China fractured. It also split in two after the Jurchen invasion, with the Jin Dyansty in the north, Song Dynasty in the south. To what extent did people living in "China" (as we know it today) consider themselves Chinese vs. Jin, Song, Yuan, etc. in this time period?
