According to statistics I've seen, Zimbabwe did well during the first decade of Mugabe's rule. Insofar as that's accurate, to what extent did it happen due to 1) Mugabe getting things right, and 2) preceding governments having paved the way?

Hitler thought it would be impossible for the USSR to mount another large-scale attack within late 1944/early 1945. Who agreed? Why? Guderian, Ribbentrop, Speer, Goebbels and others, apparently, disagreed.
