If insects are a terrestrial class, does that mean their subphylum, clade, phylum and kingdom are also exclusively terrestrial, and can extraterrestrial life therefore even be classified as flora or fauna in the first place?

How "close" can fauna and flora get? Venus flytraps have evolved mouth-like appendages, so could flora theoretically evolve eyes and such and become mobile? Could plants and animals become virtually indistinguishable from looks?
