I can use the Lorentz transformation to work how how time and length contract w.r.t. velocity. Is there a similar calculation I can do w.r.t to gravitation?

We all know that as we look at more distant objects the further in time they are. My question is aren't we also looking back at less volume in the universe since the universe then was smaller than it is now? Do we need to consider such (foolish?) things.
