In Band of Brothers, during the briefing scene for Market Garden, the Americans seem to be annoyed that the operation was under Montgomery's command. Was this a reaction to Montogomery himself, or American forces being under British command?

During the Crusades, Christian forces were drawn from all over Christendom. Did this negatively impact their tactical and strategic capabilities? i.e. Did the various knights, lords, and common soldiers have issues or predujices while fighting alongside men from other Kingdoms?
