copper is 2+ but according the octet rule it should be 3+, because copper has 29 electrons. 2,8,8,8,3. so it should be 3+. if you know why it isnt please let me know

Okay so propably not a normal post on here but I got a assignment for english class to write a sequel on a short story. Now I need to write a sequel on The Happy Prince by Oscar Wilde 1888, Im sure all you guys are fimiliar with this short story. The sequel needs to be about 500 words and top class.
