Water 'waves' are composed of water molecules in motion, sound waves are composed of moving air molecules. But when a molecule itself behaves as a wave e.g. in the double slit experiment, what 'stuff' is the wave composed of?

Like many religions, Islam describes miracles in its text. In one case, the moon is split by the Prophet and in another the setting sun is moved back up to noon time. From a purely scientific perspective, what consequences would these two events have in real life?
