Is thr gas off? Is that why I have no hot water? Plumber fixed a leak on Thursday and turned off the hot water. How do I turn it back in?

What's the problem? I had thr line from the water heater (attic, 3rd floor) down to the first floor replaced because of a leaky joint. Ten days later the T at the next joint leaked. Now, 2 days later, there's no hot water.
