You spend years wandering, passing through the ruins that remain from the past as you struggle to survive, when one day, you see the impossible. Human civilization, just as it was before the end. However, something is very, very wrong.

[WP] Death has made an ill-advised deal with a mortal that he may live as long as he pleases after he had begged for his life to be spared, with the belief that he would see how bad immortality really is and let Death finally do its job without fuss. His plan backfired horribly.
