[WP] All sapient species are psychic and contribute to a shared overmind that facilitates communication. Humans do too but by an evolutionary quirk all Terran life is deaf to psychic projections. During an emergency, an alien fleet responds to calls for help only to find they cannot be understood.

[WP] For your entire life, time would rewind at seemingly random intervals by a random span of time. Any time you tell anyone about it, it always triggers a rewind. After years of abusing this 'loophole', it finally fails you at the worst moment.

[WP] Like everyone, the Ancient Lich knows the prophecy of the hero that will bring him down. He regularly wipes out villages in the hope of flushing the hero out because only the Lich knows the rest of the prophecy.

[WP] Changing history is possible, but paradoxes are not. Changes inevitably erase all memory of the original timeline, leaving time travelers with no idea why they built the time machine to kill someone they didn't know. It is now the job of some to investigate the justifiability of the act.
