[WP] You're a brilliant seismologist who recently discovered a groundbreaking technique that accurately depicts localized areas of Earth to 1,000-20,000 years deep. It's up for the Nobel prize! While conducting a survey in Greece, you can't believe your scan: It looks like a man chained to a rock.

[WP] Hell is not physical abuse. Sensory adaptation renders incessant pain meaningless. What hell actually is, is a torture through love. Again, and again, against every ounce of your will, you fall in love only to have your heart brutally tormented. This time, the devil's devised a doozy.

[WP] In the year 2083, medical advances allow the extension of life. Unfortunately for you, you are a convicted serial killer and sentenced to 250 years. Playing on the walls of the cell are home videos of your victims. Hanging from the ceiling is a noose. 250 years on, you're up for release.

[WP] Driving back from your night class that finished early, the setting sun glints off a nearby car. Inside the car you see a sobbing woman. Thinking fast, you write your number on a whiteboard. You honk at her, and display the digits. She glances, hesitates a moment, then dials. Ring ring.
