[WP] Flat screens suddenly look blank to you. You can't see anything on TV or computer screens (or watches, ATM screens, timetable displays, etc), you can't see through windows. Apart from that, you can see just fine. How does that affect you?

[WP] Balloonists come back down saying you can't breathe up there, rocket chaps talk of sending cameras, pilots say compressed air cylinders and engines will let them go higher. Will the coming 1920s give Humanity the first look beyond Earth's permanent cloud cover? What could possibly be up there?

[WP] Balloonists came back down saying they ran out of breath and had to come down. It's the 1920s, no human anywhere on Earth has ever seen beyond the permanent cloud cover. With rockets, cameras, air tanks, powered aircraft, discoveries which rock societies and collapse religions are at hand.
