[WP] You are a member of a hyper advanced alien race, in a dead end job. Your occupation is garbage haul away and disaster clean up on an intergalactic scale. You have just landed with the rest of the cleanup crew on the filthiest planet you have ever seen. Earth.

[WP] Mass extinctions are triggered whenever a civilization creates a "perfect" simulation of life. Humanity does not know this. It is the year 2315 and a new sim game anticipated to be "so realistic you don't know when you are playing" is about to be completed.

[WP] Life has recently (and inarguably) been proven to be a simulation. It is however a simulation of our previous life because what we know of as "Earth" is merely a holding tank for souls while the are processed into either Heaven or Hell.
