I was watching an old episode of Bones where they said Argentina sent 10,000 blank passports to Germany at the end of WWII. Did that really happen and if so what would motivate Argentina to do that?

[WP] We'd long known that sense of smell was strongly linked to our ability to recall memories. What we didn't know, and they did, was without being able to smell they could do things we'd never be able to remember. Only one small town can still smell and remember the horrible things that happened.
