[WP] My parents never taught me to be afraid of strangers. Sure, they taught us basic safety stuff, but strangers weren’t shown as something scary. Adults were often surprised at how willing I was to talk to them. Later, I learned that it’s the people you know- not strangers- who hurt you the most.
