[WP] Heaven is a lot creepier than you expect it to be. The people there are basically walking skeletons and the "angels" are unpleasantly bright patches of light which feed off the essence of the dead until there's nothing left.

[WP] A warmongering emperor with a great fear of death makes a deal with Death to make him immortal, unageing and invulnerable to injury. It seems like the perfect solution but over time his empire inevitably falls and everyone he knows dies. By the 22nd century he has become irrelevant and weary
