[WP] Every planet humanity has been to, the Sailors got there long ago, and explored every nook and cranny. They're not even that technologically advanced; they just have a biological knack for surviving the rigors of space travel, and an insatiable wanderlust.

[WP] In this world, "Seat of Power" is literal. There are physical chairs, which when sat in, grant immense magical ability. Seats are so powerful, in fact, that the borders of countries are primarily defined by the range of the spells of their Seat.

[WP] A frail, bumbling mage apprentice dies in the crossfire of a petty fight at the academy. The mage is reborn, into a new world devoid of magic... And has retained their magical ability. [WP] Your civilization measures things in dragons. A town is not a city because a town has one dragon, and a city has a dragon family. The borders of nations are defined by the hunting ranges of their dragons. That's just what made sense - But apparently foreigners think you're all crazy.

[WP] When you pulled your sword on an old man walking the road between two towns alone, you knew the risks. But when he pulled a sword on you and told you he was going to teach you a lesson, you did not expect an actual critique on your swordsmanship.

[WP] A wizard dies. His golem does what it can for what's left of him, and carries on in its assigned duties. It's months before anyone comes to check on the mage, and by that point the golem has started performing novel magical experiments, just because the ones that were running concluded.
