(WP) On the brink of extinction, humanity decides on a last-ditch effort. Everyone is encouraged to write letters, to be beamed into space- an attempt to get the attention of alien lifeforms and, hopefully, their help. To everyone's surprise, it works! The aliens respond--to an 8 year old girl.
