[WP] The recorders everyone plays in grade school are really annoying. But they're treble recorders. Recorders actually also come in alto, tenor, and bass. You know someone who carves them.

[WP] History stretches ahead of us, not tens or hundreds of years, but billions. Maybe trillions. Perhaps technological advancement isn't the best goal for our distinctive slice of time. Perhaps the best thing to do is appreciate it, I don't know, maybe by driving cars around.
