[EU] The art of bending grows with our understanding of the universe. When we believed in four elements, there were four types of benders. As knowledge expanded, we learned about more fundamental forces to bend. Gravity. Motion. Temperature. Only fire bending has remained the same through all this.

[EU] Mr. and Mrs. White assumed that the second wish to the Monkey's paw had been granted horribly, and that the third wish had been granted with no consequences. However, unbeknownst to them, they were granted just like the first one: just as requested, but as the result of something horrific.
