[WP] On the first day it was just one star in the nightsky. As a hobby astronomer I noticed it after observing canis major over a few days. On the second day I noticed it happening to two more stars in ursa major. When it made the news the day after six stars have already went dark..

AFAIK Relativity states that if light is slowed down due to e.g gravity, spacetime will bend to adjust to "keep" the speed of light constant. So when light travels through a medium like glass where it is also slowed down significantly, is spacetime within the material bent?
