[WP] In actuality, we are technologically far more developed than most alien species. Said alien species are baffled when they discover us and find out we somehow haven’t figured out space travel yet to the extent they have.

[WP] Finally we succeed in contacting an alien species. Except that they’re not quite alien, they’re human actually. Even the planet they live on is seemingly identical. But as communication continues one fundamental difference is discovered which changes a lot.

[WP] It turns out magic existed all along, the only problem is that due to the laws of thermodynamics require one to hold as much energy as is required to cast the spell. So basically if you want to use a spell you have to be fat.

[WP] Ghosts do in fact exist, but only for as long as people in the world of the living remember those people. This means that ghosts are trying everything to manipulate the world of the living to let people remember them longer.

[WP] There’s a world, unbeknownst to us, called the upside-down, where the mind and the body have swapped roles. Everyone sees each other’s thoughts at first sight and a true sign of trust is showing somebody your physical appearance.
