[WP] When no one else was left, an unlikley hero stepped up and defeated the dragon, and is now betrothed to the princess. The only problem is the hero is a young widower and single father, and the royal court wasn't exactly ready for all that entails.

[WP] The motivational posters at your new job are a little unsettling. They sport the usual list of buzz words such as 'Confidence', 'Consistency,' and 'Diligence,' etc, but the people pictured seem to be depressed, terrified, or in downright mortal peril. You begin to suspect they are ex-employees.

[WP] As you go about your day, you start to notice that some people's faces are missing. No nose, eyes, mouth, or anything, just blank skin. Nobody else seems to notice or act like anything is wrong.

[WP] You live in a world shaped like a big Rubik's Cube, the face of each square having a unique climate. Some unseen force periodically twists and repositions the cube, so you never know what friends, enemies, dangers, or resources will be at your borders next.

[WP] 'It will be a quick job. In and out. Enter through the skylight, smash and grab, and exit through the basement.' That's what they told you, but there was no exit in the basement. Only an ever descending maze of storage and boiler rooms. No matter how hard you try, you can't find a way back up.

[WP] After losing you, a loved one learned the dark magics of necromancy to bring you back and it worked. You're back! No worse for the wear, either. Your loved one was convinced there would be a catch, and despite the fact that you're totally normal, they are eternally suspicious and afraid of you.

[WP] In an austere location, deep in the jungle or high atop a treacherous mountain, you come across a free-standing door with the words 'authorized personnel only' stenciled on its surface.

[WP] You're out of a job and down on your luck. After holding a door open for a senior citizen, they hand you their things and tell you to book a place for lunch, proceeding to treat you as some kind secretary. Unsure if you've been mistaken for someone or just impromptu hired, you roll with it.
