Could a rogue planet knocked far enough out of a galaxy be lit up by said galaxy instead of a sun?

As I understand it, one of the reasons we don't make larger processors is they'll overheat. But isn't the brain one giant processor, densely packet with circuits? Why doesn't the brain overheat?
