In the famous train relativity paradox (link in text), what would happen if you were on the train with an extremely wide angle camera that took video of both side of the tunnel closing at the same time? Would you actually see a split second where one is closed and the other isn't?

If I observe a comet, or a Matthew McConaughey enter a blackhole, it just gets stopped at the event horizon and freezes there. Doesn't this mean that if I came upon a blackhole I wouldn't see a big dark hole, but rather a big spherical cluster of space junk and McConaughey corpses?
