Is it possible that some people experience speed at different rates? Some people watch TV at 1.25x, 1.5x, 2x, and some people can barely keep up at 1x. Are we possibly experiencing time at different speeds?

[WP] A 300 year old book, "The Book of Shadows", has a character that is the "shadow version" of the protagonist, with a remarkably similar storyline. Their written future is filled with luck, so they attempt to follow it, but shadow creatures also seem to begin following the protagonist.

After a small burn, you're told to "Run it under cold water for 10 minutes". Apparently this stops it burning your skin further (based on anecdotes I've heard). Does this have any scientific backing? If so, why aren't burn victims immersed in cold water after the injury?
