[WP] An eldritch god is lonely because nothing that it wants to be with can truly perceive it. The eldritch god comes up with an idea, he slowly starts putting ideas into the minds of intelligent mortals in the hopes that they will one day create a machine god that he can be friends with.

[WP] I don't quite understand, why keep magic hidden? There are so many things it can be used for, healing people, reversing radiation contamination, ending disease, terraforming worlds. It becomes especially useful when combined with technology, so why hide it?

[WP] As a biologist, that when first contact happened you thought the species that we met would be different from us and have a unique and interesting biological composition. You are very disappointed to find out that they are exactly the same as us but with a blue skin tone.

[WP] A god/goddess is having difficulty in causing their fantasy world to go through an industrial revolution. The god/goddess kidnaps a random teenager that has a fixation on technology, gives them construction related magic powers and then sends them to the fantasy world.

[WP] In a futuristic egalitarian society, there is a group of scientists who's entire job is to find ways to nullify "unfair" disadvantages. People with damaged body parts are given cybernetic versions or corrective surgery, inherited genetic diseases have been eradicated through gene editing, etc.
